Hey party peeps!
Day 7 of my 14 days of Valentine’s Day ideas for parties, sweets, favors, activities, gifts and more! Since Valentine’s Day is on a Thursday this year, why not send your family off with an easy “I LOVE YOU” BREAKFAST. Whip up heart-shaped french toast and top with strawberry butter from Land-O-Lakes! The strawberry butter alone is worth the recipe. You can keep that in your recipe arsenal and whip it out anytime for a yummy addition to muffins, pancakes, waffles or english muffins. See below for the link to the recipe.
My girls LOVE strawberries and they aren’t in season where I live so this is a great way to get that strawberry flavor they love year round. AND….now I have an excuse to use my heart-shaped cookie cutter that has been collecting dust in the drawer. YES, I admit, I am not a baker, however, I picked up this heart cookie cutter one year during the 75% off clearance sales at Michaels with THE BEST intentions on making heart shaped cookies….NO GO!
GIRLFRIEND TIP:
If the thought of cooking french toast just really won’t work on a school/work morning when you have exactly 10 minutes to eat and get out the door…NO WORRIES! Here’s my SHORTCUT: Make the strawberry butter the night before. We have Leggo frozen pancakes & french toast that I microwave for my kids on school mornings that take exactly 60 seconds to make! Cut those out with the heart cookie cutter and VOILA! Serve your family this gourmet looking breakfast while you look like a domestic diva!
Cheers!
Tonya
