“Bugaboo Baby!” Shower

So excited to share this baby shower we recently styled featuring our exclusive “Bugaboo Baby!” design collection. The moment the host of the shower contacted me and told me they wanted to do a ladybug theme, I instantly knew that I wanted to go with a lime green and hot pink color palette. I had just bought the most AMAZING ribbon taffeta linens and was DYING to use them in an upcoming event….this was the PERFECT ONE! Keeping true to my design style I incorporated high gloss white and bling to the mix!

It all started with the invitation! When setting out to design this collection, I knew I wanted to do a 3-D invite to really set the tone of this Modern Ladybug themed shower. Our Lolli-tags™ were used to create a 2-sided invite and inserted into a box that matched the design perfectly! For those who didn’t receive hand-delivered invites, there were also versions of it not inside the boxes that mailed flat.

One of our signature elements at our baby showers are our “Bling Bears” which made their appearance here in all 6 centerpieces alongside a crystal flower ball topped pilsner vase and our signature Lolli-tag™ bouquets. The bears are a perfect whimsical addition! There were also several smaller centerpieces used throughout the space to bring in some visual interest.

Then of course…the WOW factor to any event…the SOIREE SWEETS BAR! I am so inspired by the amazing Amy Atlas when it comes to setting up gorgeous sweets bars as you can see in my use of symmetry and matching color palette. NOTICE the FAB linen! LOVE THAT!

To truly make every Soiree Sweets Bar unique, I incorporate our personalized design collection to add a high-end designer touch. I’m not a huge fan of individual candy/sweets labels on each item, so instead I like to create Sweets Bar Menus listing all the sweets available on the table. I also think it’s a sweet touch that all the guests take home something that is personalized with the design collection like our personalized cotton candy, take-home goodie bags and our Lolli-tags™ double as take home favors!

Finally, styling a Sweets Bar that is color matched to the event theme’s colors can really send your budget through the roof! But is SO WORTH IT! My tip to save $: mix in designer sweets with store-bought items in your colors. Here the AMAZINGLY TALENTED Lynlee of Lynlee’s Petite Cakes designed the gorgeous fondant toppers which we used on top of store-bought Hostess Snowballs and sugar cookies! They worked perfectly with our Lolli-tag™ cupcake toppers and bring a designer touch to store bought sweets!
