I am so excited to have been invited to participate in the upcoming “Sunshine Safari” Operation Shower presented by Operation Shower and Birdies For The Brave and sponsored by Datron World Communications with support from Pottery Barn Kids, Carousel Designs and Carl’s Jr.
Operation Shower (www.operationshower.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and honoring military families by providing joyful baby showers for military moms-to-be to ease the burden of deployment, or in cases where spouses are seriously injured. Since the organization’s inception in 2007, Operation Shower has showered more than 600 military moms from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard on military bases, during PGA TOUR tournaments, and at other locations.
I’m so honored to be a part of such a special event that gives back to military moms-to-be. With me just giving birth to my 1 month old baby boy, I know how hard it can be for a pregnant mom in her last few months and doing it sometimes without their deployed husbands has to be extremely hard. So, needless to say, my heart is in this one!
11 event designers, including me (yeah!) were asked to design a table at the shower with the “Sunshine Safari” theme and incorporating Pottery Barn products and printables by Paper and Cake. Fellow designers include Hostess with the Mostess, Sweets Indeed, Thoughtfully Simple, A to Z Celebrations, The TomKat Studio, A Blissful Nest, Your-Bash, Cupcakes and Cutlery, Maddycakes and Shawna Brockmeier Styled Events! What a group of talented women!
Here’s a sneak peek of my table design…bet you can guess what FABULOUS fondant queen’s toppers are making an appearance in my design! Full blog post coming after the event with all the behind-the-scenes pics and details!
