Okay, first of all, I MUST ADMIT….I am usually sooo done with the entire event plan for my kids’ birthday parties…WAY BEFORE NOW! However…last year I learned my lesson when I planned an entire party for my then 3 year old who was and still is…in LOVE with TURTLES! She wanted a turtle party and for anyone who has ever tried to look for turtle decor…IT AINT’ EASY!!! But, always up for the challenge, I created a FABULOUS event plan with LOTS of DIY since there wasn’t much available. I was super excited that her choice didn’t involve any characters this time!
And then…2 weeks before her party…she proudly announced she has CHANGED HER MIND! She must now have a Toy Story-themed party! UGHHHH….kill me softly! I had to scrap ALL turtle plans and start over! There is no saying “NO” to Riley when she looks at you with those big brown eyes and bats those long eyelashes at you! So, a FABULOUS Toy Story birthday party she had!
So, with that said, I too waited for my 8 year old to announce her choice of theme for her upcoming 9th birthday soiree! A few months ago it was “Journey to Mysterious Island”! As of last week, it is now….DRUMROLL PLEASE……
