Hey party peeps!
Well, it’s Friday and it’s been a busy week here. On top of being the entertainment director for 4 kids, chef for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family and chauffeur to football practice all week and various playdates…I have several design projects going on at the same time! This is the life of a busy party planner and graphic designer….sounds hectic right? YES IT IS…but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! Being able to watch my 1 1/2 year old navigate the world and find new and exciting things to do each day is PRICELESS! I know I could get so much more work done if my kids were in daycare, but I can’t seem to do it! I’m lucky enough to have my design studio in my house and during nap times each day your girl is feverishly getting work done! It amazes me sometimes the amount of work I actually can get done with 4 kids at home, BUT let’s get real….there are LOTS of late night work hours when the house is quiet and no interruptions for snacks, potty, rides, food, can I? can I? can I? You know what I mean.
This is what I’ve been up to this week:
I launched a new product that’s now available in my shop…Custom Cotton Candy Favors with labels that I custom design to match your party’s theme. I got my very first order this week and am super excited! My fellow party planner friend, Kenna from Miss Party Mom is celebrating her birthday with a Favorite Things party next week. Check out the custom labels I did for her cotton candy favors. What do you think? If you need some for your next party, click here to order your Custom Cotton Candy Favors. I love the design so much I’m going to create an entire printable collection around this design…coming soon to the shop.
Next, I’m teaming up with Suzanne from Fanciful Events who will be styling an Ice Cream themed styled shoot for Breyer’s Ice Cream Toppings. I’ll be designing a printable collection for her to use in her shoot. This should be fun! I LOVE Suzanne’s styling and know the finished result will be FABULOUS! Today will be full of designing this collection.
Most of you know that I’ve had a graphic design studio since 1996 and have worked with many celebrities, record labels, entertainment companies, promoters and corporations for some time. However, it is STILL exciting when I get a call from someone in the entertainment industry to work on their project. This time, I will be working as Creative Director for a certain Real Housewife of Atlanta‘s new product lines. I can’t spill the beans just yet, but I’m super excited for this opportunity!
And….I passed 6,000 fans on my Facebook page this week! Yay! I’m so humbled by the amount of people who like my page and want to see what I post. To celebrate I’m putting together a giveaway of some of my Favorite Things for a few lucky winners. You won’t want to miss this 😉 More details to come. Make sure you’re following me on Facebook & Twitter for the most up to date info. You can follow me here on Twitter: @SoireeEventDsgn
What are you guys up to this weekend? I’ll be working and squeezing in some family & friends time on Sunday for a BBQ at a neighbor’s house, so that should be fun! I’m making my hubby’s favorite potato salad 😉
Have a great weekend! I’m sure I’ll see you guys on Pinterest this weekend! My favorite Saturday and Sunday morning ritual…or addiction…depends on how you look at it! 🙂
Cheers!
