Hey party peeps!
White on white is a new trend in party planning and especially looks fabulous when designing a Bridal Shower! Today’s post I’m highlighting my WINTER WHITE BRIDAL SHOWER SWEETS TABLE I designed for my latest Trend Alert for Hostess With The Mostess. Check back later this week for the post highlighting the dining table decor & ideas. Be sure to scroll down to the vendor credits with links to all the items I used in this design.
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
My Inspiration & Design Plan!
The first thing that came to mind when deciding to use an all-white color palette for a bridal shower was a wedding gown! So I incorporated fabrics and textures commonly found in wedding gowns such as rosette, tulle, flowers, crystals, glitter and bling to create an atmosphere where you feel like you are surrounded by wedding gowns. Since it’s Christmas time, I added in touches of sparkly white holiday decor to create a wintery white theme. These holiday elements can of course be left out so you can use this design year-round.
Rosette Backdrop & Tulle Table Linen!
The key to creating a monochromatic look that works is to stick with one color and then mix in many textures of that color to make it interesting and to give it some dimension so that your decor doesn’t look flat. Here I used a combination of all white rosette, tulle and ceramic. This white rosette linen from Efavormart was gorgeous on the dining table and also hung as a backdrop behind the sweets table, which I finished off with this fabulous white tulle table linen from Candy Crush Events. I LOVE how the mix of using rosette on the top and tulle at the bottom of the sweets table reminded me of an actual wedding gown! Lastly, I used white ceramic dishes on the table so they blended in with the white linen, but the smooth, shiny ceramic texture popped.
Mix in Bling & Crystal Elements!
Most wedding gowns have crystal or silver shimmery wow factors that make them stand out. I applied this same fashion design principle to our shower decor in keeping with the wedding gown theme. To add that shimmer and crystal wow factor, I knew right away I would go to Koyal Wholesale who specializes in wedding decor and has all kinds of crystal and silver accents to choose from like this gorgeous crystal three tier stand I used to display these fabulous custom iced cookies! Bling tongs and scoops from Talia’s Creative Printing are a MUST HAVE for an bridal shower or wedding sweets table! They are the perfect bling touch that will have your guests talking!
Floral Bouquets as Wow-Factor Decor!
And of course bridal bouquets are integral to any wedding design, so I incorporated them into the design plan! Mix in white flower poms to add dimension to the design. These paper flower balls from Peckled were perfect! They came already attached to a rhinestone studded ribbon so that they could be hung…BUT…I decided to turn them upside down and place them into a clear trumpet vase so that the ribbon hung down inside the vase as an unexpected decorative bling accent.
All White Desserts & Candy are the Star!
To pull off a dramatic monochromatic sweets table, all your desserts and candy must be the same color and displayed in clear or white containers. I always use glass apothecary jars from Koyal Wholesale to display my bulk loose sweets so that guests can actually see the desserts.
I love using white trays to display designer sweets to show them off. Finding all white candy is easy with the new color tool from Candy Warehouse that shows you all their available candy in your color, and they ship!
To finish off the table I included designer dessert items like these gorgeous gourmet candy apples by Roni’s Sugar Creations, glitter candy apples, cake pops and flower topped chocolate covered oreos by Autumn Lynn’s Chocolate Sins, white swirl cake pops by Sweet Cheeks Tasty Treats and custom iced cookies from Sweet C’s Bakeshop that are as yummy as they are gorgeous!
Fondant toppers like these flat snowflakes from Edible Details, sparkly tulle cupcake toppers by Fizzy Party and bling pinwheels from Peckled instantly transform store bought cupcakes into designer masterpieces. Wrap them in a glittered white cupcake wrapper and display them on a fabulous stand like this Elly Spiral cupcake stand by Dress My Cupcake.
Custom Fondant Topped Favor Boxes!
Send your guests home with the Bride’s favorite candy inside these fabulous favor boxes wrapped in glittery ribbon by Koyal Wholesale and topped with edible fondant topper lollipops by Edible Details! This is a favor your guests are going to want to have!
