Hey party peeps! I love love love backdrops! I use them all the time to create a scene or to set a tone for my themed parties. When I came across these new vinyl personalized backdrops with a name and party/wedding date, I knew these would be soon be making their way into lots of parties this year.
Leading the way in this trend is Kate Aspen who now makes these backdrops in many different styles and themes that are personalized to add such a special touch to your next party, bridal shower or wedding. Any of these would be perfect on their own as a backdrop for a photo booth, but today, check out how I use these personalized backdrops 3 different ways for 3 different types of events.
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
GIRLFRIEND TIP: These backdrops do not come with a top rod pocket to hang on a backdrop stand, so you will have to actually hang it on an empty wall. To do this, I use 3M’s Damage Free Command Picture Hanging Strips. They come off cleanly and don’t remove paint or plaster from my walls.
Use a Personalized Backdrop for a Bridal Shower Candy Table!
How fabulous is this “Something Blue” backdrop! Perfect for a Tiffany’s themed bridal shower personalized with the bride’s name and shower date. Here I hung it behind a candy table and added a variety of white and blue candy to match the backdrop. I like to use clear containers to hold the candy so that the backdrop isn’t hidden too much since it is such a wow factor to the table.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: When using a backdrop that has such a bold graphic, be sure that your candy containers are low enough to not cover the artwork.
Use a Personalized Backdrop for a Birthday Party Favor Bar!
Next, I used their “Rustic Birthday” backdrop to create a scene for a dinosaur themed favor table for a first birthday party. The colors of the backdrop allow the bright vibrant colors of the dinosaur plush toys to pop! This backdrop comes personalized with the birthday boy/girl’s name.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: For parties with young kids, I like to set up a favor bar stocked with the 3 B’s — Balls, Books, Bubbles! As an extra added touch each guest went home with a small plush Dinoz dinosaur from The Manhattan Toy Company. AND…the set of 3 larger ones are for the birthday boy!
Use a Personalized Backdrop for a Wine & Chocolate Wedding Bar!
Finally, I used this “Rustic Chalkboard” backdrop behind a self-serve wine and chocolate bar for a wedding. It comes personalized with the bride and groom’s names and wedding date which adds such a high-end touch to this bar. I also used many of Kate Aspen’s themed favors on the table like these mini champagne bottle bubbles and chalkboard coasters that guests could pick up as they poured themselves a glass of wine or helped themselves to some sweet chocolate. How perfect are those personalized glittery gold fans that say “Love is Sweet”!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: These chalkboard coasters from Kate Aspen are a great way for guests to keep track of their wine glass as well as have a cool take home favor.
