Hey party peeps! Well, we’re in November and it’s time to transition my home with fall and Thanksgiving decor. This year I wanted to create a Thanksgiving Tree where my family can add things that we are thankful for all November and then read them at Thanksgiving Dinner. I was inspired by these colorful removable fabric wall decals by Wallternatives to create a Thanksgiving Tree Display. The kids loved this idea and really got into it! Riley was thankful for our new puppy, Deizel, Faith was thankful for her family and Michael…well, he was thankful for Ninja Turtles! LOL!
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
I am in LOVE with the removable fabric wall decals from Wallternatives. Not only do they have a great selection of designs to choose from, they are completely removable and leave NO sticky residue on your walls! That is music to my ears as a creative person who loves to design and create cool areas in my home that are temporary and can be easily changed at any time! For the holidays, they are perfect as I can create awesome holiday themed decor areas in my home with these wall decals that are temporary and look amazing. When the holiday is over, just simply remove. OH….did I mention they are RE-USABLE! Just place them on the backing paper they came on and reuse them next year. LOVE THAT!
Here I chose to redecorate the photo wall area of my home and simply replaced the photos with the wall decals and added in fall decor pieces to finish the look. Here’s a before and after shot.
Use Removable Wall Decals As a Backdrop!
I was inspired by the bright fall colors in this Colorful Fall Phrases Removable Wall Decal Set to create a full on Thanksgiving Tree display and used the decals as the backdrop to the table. The tree is a glittered gold tree that was just the right amount of holiday sparkle I wanted to compliment the wall decals. Add in a few fall decor pieces and you’re set.
Create Thanksgiving Paper Flowers!
To create the paper flower hanging cards, I simply found a coordinating pack of scrapbook paper that matched the wall decals, punched out the flowers with a 2.5″ scalloped edge circle punch and then to hang them I punched a hole at the top with a standard size hole puncher which was perfect to fit over the tree branches. It’s so fun to see the kids randomly go over to the tree, write something down they are thankful for and place it on the tree.

I love this design. It is a beautiful decor piece that really is just not seasonal. This could be a main stay the entire family could paticipate in year round. When things get tough and you seem to have lost your way, you can go to this and remind yourself of what really counts. At the end of the year, remove the tags and scrapbook them and start a new year. LOVE IT!!

I love vinyl sticks on designs for the wall, but I was under the impression that they were a mess to remove. Really like how you put everything together by the way – it looks really nice!
