Happy Holidays party peeps! Christmas is right around the corner and if you’re like me you are planning Christmas Dinner for your family and friends or hosting a holiday party. I’d love to share with you today how I Celebrate The Holidays with 7UP® Mocktail Drinks that not only look amazing but taste even better! I serve 2 signature non-alcoholic drinks at my house during the holidays as we don’t drink alcohol so I came up with these 2 drinks so that we can enjoy a special drink on this special day. The best part is the kids can enjoy them too and actually REALLY look forward to being allowed to drink these “FIZZY” drinks from “FANCY” glasses as my daughter likes to say!
As a party planner, I go the extra mile and actually decorate the glasses too to match the theme of the drink! How cute are they! Wouldn’t they be wonderful to serve at your next cocktail party as a non-alcoholic option for your friends & family? Check out my 2 signature holiday mocktails and the recipes on how easy it is to make them. You can easily add your favorite clear rum to either of these drinks to make them an alcoholic option.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: You can decorate all of your glasses before your party and display them on a Mockini Bar which would add fun & festive touch to your party.
SANTA’S SLEIGHBELL MOCKTAIL
FIRST, Let’s Decorate The Glasses!
To decorate the glasses for this drink you will need:
– 1 roll of black electrical tape
– clear rhinestone stickers
– mini red or gold bells
– clear plastic string
– red and white striped paper straws
Wrap the electrical tape all the way around the rim of the glass. Place one large rhinestone sticker in the middle of the taped rim. String the 3 mini bells on to the clear plastic string and tie them to the bottom stem of the glass.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Using the black electrical tape is key as it removes from the glass with no residue so you can reuse the glasses.
NEXT, Let’s Make The Drink!
To make this “Santa Sleighbell” drink you will need:
– 7UP® 2 liter (chilled)
– marachino cherries
– marachino cherry syrup
– margarita glass
You can make this in a large pitcher or by the glass. By the glass: Fill the glass to the bottom edge of the black tape line with 7UP®. Add 1 tablespoon of marachino cherry syrup and stir. The drink will have a gorgeous red color. By the pitcher: Fill up your pitcher 3/4 of the way with the 7UP®. Add 1 cup of maraschino cherry syrup and stir. Next, skewer three cherries on to the bottom end of a striped paper straw. Place the straw into the glass with the cherry side down. NOW ENJOY!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: You can add more or less of the marachino cherry syrup to get the desired amount of cherry flavor. You could also make an alcoholic version of this by adding in a clear rum.
SUGAR SNOWBALL MOCKTINI
FIRST, Let’s Decorate The Glasses!
To decorate the glasses for this drink you will need:
– 1 roll of black electrical tape
– clear rhinestone stickers
– mini red or gold bells
– clear plastic wire
– plastic snowflake drink stirrers
– clear rhinestone stickers
– removable glue dots
– clear sugar crystal sprinkles
– white poms (found in the craft section of Walmart)
Fill a shallow flat bowl with lemon juice and another with the clear sugar crystal sprinkles. Holding the glass by the stem, dip the rim of the glass flat into the lemon juice, lift it out (keeping the glass vertical) and then immediately dip it into the crystal sprinkles and twist the glass in the sprinkles (keeping the glass firm against the bottom of the bowl. This will ensure an even coating of sprinkles around the rim of the glass. Lift the glass out of the sprinkles and place to the side to dry.
On the base of the glass, place several removable glue dots all the way around the base and then press the white poms onto the glue dot all the way around.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Be sure you get the removable Glue Dots so you can remove them from the glass to reuse the glasses. I also have mini wine glasses that I use to serve the kids’ mocktail in.
Take a plastic snowflake stirrer and simply place a large rhinestone sticker in the center. To get the desired effect of the snowflake sitting on the edge of the rim, you will have to cut the stirrer stick down by a few inches as they are too long as they come. This is easy to do with just a regular pair of scissors.
NEXT, Let’s Make The Drink!
To make this drink you will need:
– 7UP® 2 liter (chilled)
– lemon sorbet
– lemon juice
– wine glass
You have to actually make this drink by the glass. Super easy! Fill the wine glasses with the 7UP® about 1/2 way full. Then add one scoop of the lemon sorbet. Once that scoop has almost melted fully into the 7UP®, add a second scoop of sorbet and serve. You can easily make an alcoholic version of this drink by simply adding in a clear rum. Coconut rum would be FABULOUS in this! I don’t serve this with a straw so that guests can get that sugary/sour taste from the lemon juice and sugar rim which adds that extra punch of flavor!
GIRLFRIEND TIP:The drink is at it’s best once all the lemon sorbet has melted into the soda which is why I add one scoop first to begin melting and then top it off with the second scoop right before serving so it look pretty like a floating snowball on top!
TIMESAVING TIP:
During the holiday season when time is so precious as we are all running around trying to get everything done, I like to shop in stores like Walmart that has a variety of items that I need all in one place. For this, I was able to pickup the 7UP®, garnishes and craft decorating supplies all in one trip!

There are so many great ideas in this post. First of all, I love the idea of using the decorated glasses as party of your party decor – what a great idea! I also love the idea of having beautiful, festive mocktails available for those guests who don’t drink alcohol. It’s very courteous and thoughtful. So many times at holiday parties those who don’t drink alcohol are just stuck with a can of soda or glass of water. This allows them to join in the festivities too.
