Hey party peeps!
Today I’m sharing my Monster High Party Freaky Fusion Candy Bar featuring one of the HOTTEST TOYS THIS YEAR–the Monster High Catacombs playset! Monster High is all the rage right now in kids’ party planning and the premiere of the Freaky Fusion movie this fall has inspired an increase in Freaky Fusion party themes. BUT…there isn’t any Freaky Fusion partyware out there yet, so what is a mom to do? Well, I’ve got the answer!
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
KICK IT OFF WITH A SCREENING OF THE FREAKY FUSION MOVIE!
To set the tone for the theme of the party, have the girls watch the Freaky Fusion movie. I shared details from the movie night in part 1 of this post. Click here to see the Freaky Fusion Movie Night Party!
GIRLFRIEND TIP:
Knowing I was going to have the girls watch the movie at the party, I contacted the guest’s moms to ask them to hold off on letting them watch the movie before the party so the girls could enjoy it together for the 1st time. There’s nothing worse than thinking you have an hour long activity for the girls and one of them has seen it already!
DECORATE YOUR FREAKY FUSION PARTY WITH TOYS & DOLLS!
I use this tip ALL THE TIME! If your child is a Monster High fan, then it’s likely you have a few Monster High dolls that you can use in your Freaky Fusion party decor. AND…if you are going to purchase some new Freaky Fusion dolls as a birthday present for your child, DON’T WRAP THEM! Instead…it’s super cool to use them in the party decor and then see your daughter’s eyes light up when she sees the new dolls at her party.
If you really want a wow factor moment, why not setup a candy buffet that features the Monster High Catacombs playset as the centerpiece which would also serve as the guest of honor’s gift! Be ready for your daughter to lose her mind when she walks up to that candy bar and sees that huge Monster High Catacombs playset and new dolls displayed there! She will quickly forget all about all that candy! It’s like Christmas morning…trust me!
GIRLFRIEND TIP:
During the party I moved the playset to the floor and let Riley and her friends play with the dolls and her new toys after watching the Freaky Fusion movie so they had hours of fun acting out the scenes from the movie and loving it!
USE FREAKY FUSION TOYS AS PARTY ACTIVITIES!
FIND FRANKIE’S SPARK SCAVENGER HUNT!
Once the girls were done watching the movie, I had a fun activity for them to do! I had lots of gold glittered lightning bolt cutouts made by Tutus and Bowties. I called them “Frankie’s Sparks” and hid them all around the house. The girls had to search for them and bring them back to Frankie’s chamber. Once all the sparks were found they pushed the button on the chamber and watched as Frankie got her spark back! They LOVED THIS!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: To make the game fun for all the girls I hid 18 total lightning bolts and told each of the 3 girls to find 6 each and that they couldn’t come back until all 18 were found. It was cute to watch them help each other find their 6 and it prevents one girl from finding them all.
I hope this has given you some ideas on how to host a fabulous Monster High Freaky Fusion party!
