I’ve always had a love for home decorating and each season is just a new chance to do something exciting and different to change up my home’s decor. Our home is normally decorated in warm monochromatic tones of dark browns and grays with pops of silver, gold and white accents. BOHO BOUTIQUE® COLLECTION AT TARGET
The Boho Boutique® Collection at Target is a new collection of pillows, curtains, bedding and more in eclectic patterns and bright bold colors that are perfect when you want to add a pop of color to your home’s color palette for spring. The collection is only available online but luckily Target’s website has big bright photos of the collection so I could see exactly what the items looked like before I committed to purchasing them. They arrived in just a few days and I was all set!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: As a design rule for me I like to decorate my home in monochromatic color palette so that I can affordably switch out accent pieces in bright bold colors and patterns to change the look of the room without having to commit a huge budget to changing furniture and wall color. Pillows, rugs and curtains are the accent pieces I choose to switch out seasonally for a fresh new look.
CHANGE YOUR ROOM’S LOOK AFFORDABLY WITH PILLOWS!
Pillows are my favorite way to add a new look to my home each season and the Boho Collection had just what I was looking for. They come in lots of cool textures, colors and patterns and best of all, they are affordable. Who wants to spend thousands of dollars changing wall colors and furniture when you can simply add colorful pillows for a fraction of the cost? I was able to get all three of these pillows for less than $75!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: I like the bohemian look but don’t want to overdo it with too much pattern, so instead I opted to use the bohemian decor in small but impactful ways like using it as the centerpiece of this sofa which makes a bold statement while not being too overdone. Another design tip I like to use for a finished look is to use a square main pillow with a bold pattern and flank that one with two solid rectangle shaped pillows in a matching color like this Textured Decorative Pillow in teal.
COMPLETE THE LOOK WITH AN AREA RUG!
Adding the pillows to the couch added just the right pop of color I was going for. To finish the look I decided to add an area rug I also found in Target. That pulled in the colors from the pillows on the sofa to the floor for a cohesive and designer look.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Don’t be afraid to mix patterns. Here the pattern in the pillow is different than the quatrefoil pattern in the rug. The key is to keep the color palette similar so that the patterns complement each other instead of clashing with one another.

This is such a smart way to do things. It’s a very budget-friendly way to decorate! Keeping the expensive items like furniture and flooring neutral and adding pops of color in accessories allows you to change things up! So cute love those pillows!
