Hey party peeps! As you all know, we just purchased our home and I, for one, am eager to make some changes to the house to make it feel more like our own. Join me as I show you How to Add Curb Appeal to Your Home with Outdoor Accents using some stylish and affordable accessories I found at Target.
ADD CURB APPEAL WITH ACCESSORIES
Home improvements can cost a fortune, but there are some things that you can do to your home to change its look and feel without spending a lot. Target is one of my go-to stores to look for seasonal accessories to add a decorative touch to my home. They have stylish options and affordable prices. With our list of home improvements growing and budgets right along with it, being able to improve our home’s curb appeal for less than $200 was something we could do right away. To complete the look, we are having our shutters and front door painted black next month which will really change the look of the front of the house and tie in the black accessories I chose. Check back next month and I’ll post a photo of the front of the house fully finished..paint & all!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Whenever I’m redecorating a space, I always snap a photo of the space with my cell phone so that I can refer back to it while I’m in the store shopping. This way I can tell right away if I’m buying too much or too little. It really helps you visualize the area you’re decorating while you’re in the store.
Our house has a pretty small front porch, so I decided to focus my attention to accessorizing the stairway. These tall vertical black planters perfectly accentuated the tallness of columns. I added the solar wicker patio lights for some texture and visual softness to the modern clean lines of the black planters. For a whimsical touch, I added these cute all-white ceramic rabbit garden stakes to the planters. I’ve always loved the way lights look when lining a walkway and Target had these cute ones 6 to a pack so I could bring one pack home, place them along a part of the walkway and see if I liked them first before committing to all of the lights I would need to fully line our walkway and driveway. Overall the look is modern and cozy. We just love it!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Both the wicker lanterns and the walkway lights are solar powered! I’m loving how they power up during the day and then cast a fabulous light at night without using any electricity. Such an easy and inexpensive way to add lighting to your porch and front of your home.
What did you do to the front of your house to add to its curb appeal?

I loved when you mentioned how you take a picture of the space you plan to work with so you know what you have to work with when buying outdoor accents. It makes sense that doing this can help you know exactly what your space looks like and make sure the items you buy can match your area and your home. My wife wants to add some decoration to the outside of our home and wants to make sure it looks great, so I’ll share your page with her for some useful tips.
