Hey party peeps! Summer is half over and I am just so excited that my sister and mom are here in town to visit me and my little sister for a vacation. To celebrate, we are lounging by the pool and of course I had to do a little something special, so I set up this Sparkle Pool Party with Sparkle Drink & Nail Bars! Spending time with my Mom and sisters is something we try to do atleast once a year.  I’m lucky to have my younger sister here in the same city as me, but my other sister and Mom live on opposite coasts which makes it harder to visit frequently.  Especially when we all have families with 2-4 kids each! So, once a year we try to get our families together for a summer vacation.  This year it’s here in our town and I couldn’t be happier.  Having all of our families here can make stealing a few minutes for just us girls a bit challenging but we managed to squeeze out a few hours of girl time with a sparkle nail bar, a few sparkling mocktails and lots of laughs while we relaxed by my sister’s pool.

I was recently introduced to Canada Dry® Sparkling Seltzer Water and came up with a few signature drinks that I served at the party for my mom and sisters to enjoy. They are super easy to make and affordable! Check out how I setup this poolside sparkle bar along with some of my signature “Girlfriend Tips” so you too can throw an impromptu party for those special ladies in your life.

Sparkle Drink Bar!

Setting this table up was easy. And easy is exactly what I wanted so I didn’t have to spend hours setting up a table and miss out on precious time to spend with my Mom and sisters. Luckily I used items I already had in my party stash.  I covered a patio table with a bright orange sequin linen that I have in my party decor stash and placed a clear tray on top and filled it with sparkly blue glass gems. I just love how both the sequin and the glass gems sparkled in the sun!

GIRLFRIEND TIP: Since the drinks aren’t a specific cocktail, I was able to use a variety of different glasses to add a touch whimsey to the table.

Serve Sorbet Sipper Signature Drinks!

Walmart has all three of the Flavored Sparkling Water flavors I needed–Mandarin Orange, Lemon Lime and Original to make my drinks as well as many of the other ingredients. Gotta love being able to shop at one store to get most of your supplies—such a timesaver!

Here’s what you’ll need:
– Mandarin Orange, Lemon Lime and Original Canada Dry® Seltzer Water (12-pack cans)
– Mango, lemon lime and raspberry frozen sorbet
– Rock candy sticks
– variety of glasses
– Frozen fruit bars (orange, lemon lime and raspberry flavors)

Here’s how to make them:
– Add Sorbet to the Glasses: Fill the glasses 3/4 of the way full of the frozen sorbet in the flavor that matches the flavor of the seltzer water. Here I matched Mango Sorbet with the Mandarin Orange, Lemon Lime with the Lemon Lime and Raspberry with the Original flavored seltzer waters.
– Slowly pour in the Canada Dry® Seltzer Water into each glass.
– Top each with a rock candy stick and let the sorbet melt into the water.

GIRLFRIEND TIP: Be sure to let the sorbet melt into the seltzer water a little bit before you drink it so that the sorbet has a chance to really flavor the drink. You can also mix and match the sorbet flavors for your own flavor mix.

Serve Frozen Fruit Bar Fizz Drinks!

For another drink idea, you can add Frozen Fruit Bars to your glass of flavored seltzer water and let it melt into the water before you drink it.

GIRLFRIEND TIP: When serving frozen items at a party, be sure to place your drink bar in a shady spot and place ice cubes in the trays so that the frozen items stay frozen. OR you can bring out the frozen items at one time like I did and make a round of drinks at once and serve to the guests. This way I don’t have to worry about leaving the frozen items out and having them melt while we are lounging in the pool!

Serve Rock Candy Fizz Drinks!

If you want to leave your Sparkle Drink Bar accessible to your guests the entire party, you can also skip the frozen items altogether and simply add a rock candy stick to the glass and let it fully dissolve into the seltzer water. You can also add coconut rum to the drink for a fruity tropical flavor!

Sparkle Nail Bar!

I setup a DIY sparkly nail bar so that we could all do our nails in sparkly fun summer colors while lounging by the pool. This was so fun and a way to spend time together without the huge expense of going out to a spa!
