Hey party peeps! ANY AVENGERS FANS OUT THERE? MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-Ray/DVD just released last week and I for one happen to LOVE BLACK WIDOW! She’s the only female Avenger and kicks butt and takes names—total Girl Power! So, today I’m going to show you a unique spin on a traditional AVENGERS party! I’m going to give you some fabulous ideas for an adult themed MARVEL Avengers Black Widow Viewing Party!
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
Make It a Costume Party!
Invite your girlfriends over and watch the new Avengers: Age of Ultron movie dressed up as your favorite superhero Black Widow! Walmart had everything I needed to host this party from the perfect Black Widow Costume, the DVD and lots of spider Halloween decorations all in one spot…gotta love the one stop shop! In fact, Walmart had an entire section of MARVEL Avenger’s costumes from Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and more so you can dress up in any of your favorite characters.
Set Up a Black Widow Popcorn Bar!
LADIES…we love our sweet and salty, right? Well this Black Widow Popcorn Bar delivers on both! Whenever I invite friends and family over to watch a movie I always pull out my tabletop popcorn machine to hold extra microrwave popcorn so people can help themselves to refills throughout the movie. This time I put out some black and red chocolates that not only added a cool black and red color to the popcorn, but the sweet and salty combo…AMAZING!
Set Up a Black Widow Dessert Bar!
Okay, so if you’ve been following me for a while you know that I NEVER host a party without a dessert and candy bar! I just love the WOW-FACTOR that a themed dessert table adds to your party space. This time I was inspired of course by Black Widow herself and decided to design the table in all black, red and silver—starting with a black leather-like tablecloth inspired by Black Widow’s outfit…fabulous, right? AND…how amazing is that gunmetal chain link backdrop by ShopWildThings.com? It adds just the right amount of grundge to the table while still remaining feminine. Of course I had to enlist the help of my Auber-talented baker, Auntie Bea’s Bakery who designed these Black Widow iced cookies that were amazing! How cool is that cookie that looks just like Black Widow’s belt buckle…FABULOUS!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: To make the spiders look like black widows I cut the Black Widow shape out of red felt and placed them on both of the large spiders backs. AND…for the black plastic spiders, I just added a red rhinestone sticker to their backs. EASY!!!
