Hey party peeps! As a professional party planner and party stylist you would think that I give the most amazing Christmas teacher gifts, right? WRONG! Ready for some honesty? Well, I usually forget that I have to get teacher gifts almost every year and run—and I mean run—to the store to grab a gift card on the last day of school before Christmas break. I know…I know…NOT CUTE! Well, this year, I have been focused on taking short cuts and managing my time better so that I actually have time to enjoy the holidays and not run around like a mad woman trying to get things done. Not to mention, Riley, my youngest daughter, asked me in her sweet little voice if we could make something special for her teacher this year for Christmas. WELL, WELL, WELL…that was all the encouragement (kick in the butt) I needed to come up with not only a cool Christmas gift for her teacher this year, but to make a party of it!
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
I know I can’t be the only one, so why not invite over a few of your mom friends & their kids to put together these Snack Pack pudding teacher gift boxes together. Have dinner, enjoy some of the pudding snack cups with yummy toppings for dessert and then pat yourselves on the back when you’re done that you now have fabulous teacher gifts for your kids. You guys know me…I’m all about dessert bars at my parties, so of course, I will set up an interactive dessert bar with yummy toppings to accompany the pudding flavors. I headed to WALMART to pickup a few packs of Super Snack Packs in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Chocolate Vanilla flavors. Riley went with me and also picked out some cookies for the party that we would use as toppings for the pudding and offer on our Cookies for Santa favor table. She chose some of her favorites— OREOS and Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies and I picked out two of my favorites—Nilla Wafers and Nutter Butter cookies.
DECORATE YOUR SNACK PACKS!
Decorate your Snack Packs to display on your dessert bar. Here I made a red-nosed reindeer and snowball decorated pudding cup and displayed them on the dessert table for a bit of whimsical fun. You can also include this in your party as an activity. All you need are white cotton balls, brown chenille stems, a red circle label or cut paper and googly eyes. Place them on the cup with hot glue and you’re done!
PUDDING & COOKIES DESSERT BAR!
I decided to go with bright and festive decor like this fabulous penguin, glittery Santa, and a few tabletop Christmas ornament trees. My favorite part of the table is this whirly cupcake stand that I instead filled with Snack Pack pudding cups and topped the stand with the Santa driving a car—looks like Santa is winding down a mountain!
To compliment the chocolate, vanilla and chocolate/vanilla combo flavored pudding I crushed up the cookies and placed them in small glass containers. Place an un-crushed cookie in the container so guests know exactly what type of topping it is. Here I used my favorite flavor combos of:
– Chocolate Peanut Butter (chocolate pudding topped with crushed Nutter Butter cookies)
– Cookies & Cream (vanilla pudding topped with crushed OREO cookies)
– Vanilla Crunch (vanilla pudding topped with crushed Nilla Wafer cookies)
– Chocolate Chip (chocolate/vanilla pudding topped with crushed Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies)
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Snack Pack pudding cups make the perfect party dessert as they are served and stored room temperature so there’s no need to stress out about keeping them cold. They also come in their own clear containers so you can just take off the top and serve! AND…using cookies as toppings is perfect as they can be left room temperature too.
ASSEMBLE YOUR HOLIDAY TEACHER GIFT BOXES!
It can’t get any more easy than this! I picked up some holiday cardboard boxes with lids that were ready to go. No wrapping needed. HALLELUJAH! Fill a few small sealed containers with toppings that compliment each flavor of pudding. Put the lid on and you’re done! Don’t forget to stick a gift tag on the box. That’s it!
SEND GUESTS HOME WITH COOKIES FOR SANTA!
As an added holiday touch, set out some of the extra cookies on a tray with favor boxes so your guests can take some cookies home for Santa!
