VALENTINE’S DAY DESSERT CART!
Sweet Stations and Dessert Carts are all the rage, so I was really lucky to pick up this cart off Craigslist. Formerly a well loved flower cart, I sanded the chipped creamy finish down and followed with a coat of Rust-Oleum high gloss white paint to restore my new hostess cart to it’s pristine glory. I knew I had to create a Valentine Sweet Station for it’s debut, so a new awning using a bold red and white stripe fabric from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft stores was created by my very talented friend Hilarie with Little Stitch Studio.
No Valentine’s Day spread is complete until all the treats have arrived! Delicate hearts adorned the layered chocolate cake covered in white fondant by Cakelicious who also provided the yummy cupcakes finished off with dainty white candy flowers. Decorated cookies are one of my favorite items for any celebration and Cookies by Design in Virginia Beach always does a fantastic job making my vision a reality. Aren’t they gorgeous…not to mention super yummy too!
Decorative elements like “X” and “O” balloons, lively washi tape and paper straws for the glass milk bottles, red gingham ribbon and the most darling Valentine’s Day card by WH Hostess pull the look together.
