Hey party peeps! Have you guys seen the new OREO THINS? I LOVE OREOS and have to admit that my favorite part is the crunchy, chocolate outer cookie and now they come in a thin version making them even crunchier! Right up my alley! Check out my post today where I share with you How to Set Up an OREO THINS Dessert Bar at Your Next Favorite Things Party! Favorite Things Parties are so popular right now and the perfect setting to feature your favorite dessert. At a loss on how to do it? Follow my “Girlfriend Tips” below and you’ll have your dessert bar set up in no time!
STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR COLOR PALETTE!
When designing a dessert table featuring a specific dessert, start with a color palette that compliments the dessert. Here, I chose OREO’s signature black and white as the colors for the table’s design.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: If you plan to showcase your dessert in it’s packaging, consider incorporating the colors of the packaging too for a uniform look. I normally display desserts not in their packaging and use colors that match the actual dessert as I did here.
STEP 2: PICK A BACKDROP & TABLE LINEN!
I wanted the table to have a modern feel, so choose to use black and white stripes which is a modern pattern. It also happens to remind me of the profile of an OREO which works perfectly!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: When working with a heavily patterned backdrop, don’t use the same pattern in the table linen as it will be overpowering. Instead use a matching runner down the front of the table to pull in the pattern from the backdrop into the table in a more subtle way.
STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR DISPLAY CONTAINERS!
Make your featured dessert the star of the table! I used bright white trays to display the OREO THINS. I love how the cookies pop against the crisp white trays. Use mini serving dishes like these mini bowls and mini glasses to offer single-servings of each dessert so your guests can sample each item at your party.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: It’s all in the details! Use ceramic letter dishes to spell out OREO ON your table for a fabulous wow factor!
STEP 4: SERVE YOUR FAVORITE DESSERT IN MULTIPLE WAYS!
I love OREO THINS and actually like to eat them a few different ways. It would be pretty boring to have just a table full of cookies. Instead, I’ll serve it in a variety of different ways and in mini portions so my guests can try OREO THINS in the many ways I like to enjoy them:
– Vanilla cupcakes topped with whole or crushed OREO THINS
– Milkshakes blended and topped with crushed OREO THINS
– OREO ice cream topped with whole OREO THINS that I use to eat the ice cream instead of a spoon!
– OREO THINS with an ice cold glass of milk
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Use a pitcher that has a water inner core that you can freeze prior to your party so when you add the milk to the pitcher, the ice inner core keeps the milk ice cold while not watering it down!
STEP 5: MAKE MINI COOKIE TIN PARTY FAVORS!
To send guests home with their own stash of yummy OREO THINS, you can make these cute mini cookie tins simply by picking up small round metal tins and adding a red heart sticker to the top of them. It’s the perfect size for snacking and you can personalize each with your guests’ first names! How cute is that!
ARE YOU AN OREO FAN TOO? WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO EAT THEM?
Be sure to pickup the 35-pack OREO THINS at Sam’s Club and enjoy! Trust me…you’ll thank me! YUMMY!
Cheers!

They were doing a demo of those when I went to Sam’s Club two weeks ago. My son made me pass her three times to get him extra cookies. They are so good.
