Hey party peeps! Happy Thanksgiving! Tomorrow is Black Friday and the countdown to Christmas officially begins in our house. After all that Black Friday shopping, if you’re like me, you’ll have most of your shopping DONE and will be ready to wrap your gifts and put them under your tree so you don’t have to hide them all. Wrapping gifts can be a stressful time, especially when you save it all to do on Christmas Eve after Santa has arrived! I’m excited to share with you my Easy & Stress-Free Christmas Gift Wrapping Tips! which has made my life much easier.
CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING TIPS: Color Coordinate Your Gift Wrap to Your Tree Decor!
This is a MUST! Your Christmas Tree is literally the center of your home’s decor during the holidays. I treat the tree as part of my home’s decor and make sure the presents under the tree match. This is my kid’s Christmas tree which has a bright color palette. It is not fully decorated yet, as my family’s tradition is to decorate our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving.
While shopping in Walgreens, I came across the Inspirations from Hallmark Gift Wrap collections and found a complete suite of gift wrap and accessories that matched the tree’s colors perfectly. The entire collection was conveniently located in the seasonal aisle which made it super easy to pick up everything I needed all in one spot. Gotta love that!
CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING TIPS: Have a Variety of Gift Wrap Items on Hand!
Trust me on this! I almost ALWAYS need a different size bag that I don’t have at the last minute. Now, when shopping for my holiday gift wrap, I pick up a variety of gift wrap items including wrapping paper, gift boxes, to/from labels and gift bags in a variety of sizes. Luckily, the Inspirations from Hallmark Gift Wrap, which is exclusively available at Walgreens, had all of these gift wrap items that coordinated together perfectly!
CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING TIPS: Use Paper Bags For Teacher’s Gifts!
I have three kids, which means LOTS of teacher’s gifts. I find these paper bags perfect for small lightweight gifts like scarves, gift cards and baked goods which we normally give as teacher’s gifts. The self-adhesive gift tags are perfect as not only do they identify who the gift is to and from, but they also close the bags. Simply place your gift inside, fold over the top of the bag and close with one of the gift tag stickers. EASY!
CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING TIPS: Use a Different Patterned Paper for Each Child!
This tip is priceless! I don’t know about you, but with three kids, I can’t keep track of which gift is for which kid after they are all wrapped and gave up a long time ago placing gift tags on each present. Instead, I assign each child their own gift wrap so I know exactly which present is theirs at a glance.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The finished look is FABULOUS, don’t you think? Now, we will get the kids to decorate their tree with all their ornaments they’ve picked up over the years. We have a tradition in our family that each year, the kids can each pick out a new ornament. This year, while we were in Walgreens picking out the gift wrap, we saw all the new licensed ornaments from Hallmark and of course, my kids picked out their favorites for their tree this year.

First of all, your pictures are awesome! I’m not so organized these last few years, but used to do the matching ideas. My kids now range from 37 down to 23, and they don’t care what it looks like.
I’m attracted to certain colors and themes of paper though, so there is some consistency.
Thanks for the great post. Great ideas!

We do the different gift wrap per child. Totally helps when handing out gifts every year. And if you don’t let them know which paper they got, then you can keep them guessing until gift opening time.
