Hey party peeps! June is finally here and that means the official start of summer and time of entertaining in my house. Since the kids are home all summer, my girlfriends and I love to get together for playdates with our kids. I usually like to whip up a quick and easy lunch we can enjoy while the kids play. Today, I’m going to share with you my quick and easy 3-STEP KUNG PAO GRILLED CHICKEN SKEWERS! that I made with the NEW P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu sauces that you can only find at Walmart.
The P.F. Chang’s® sauces come in three yummy flavors—Sesame, Teriyaki and the one I’m using today—Kung Pao. These sauces makes Asian cuisine simple! It’s my simple secret to extraordinary flavor. Wouldn’t these be awesome at a summer party? Grab all three sauces and serve a trio of chicken skewers!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Chicken skewers are one of my go-to dishes that I can whip up fast when planning for a party. These sauces make it easy to kick up the flavor and the skewers make it the perfect party food as guests can pick them up and go.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
To make these Kung Pao Grilled Chicken Skewers, you’ll need these ingredients:
– 1 jar NEW P.F. Chang’s® Kung Pao Sauce
– boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– bamboo skewers
– fresh cut pineapple chunks
HERE’S HOW TO MAKE KUNG PAO GRILLED CHICKEN SKEWERS
STEP 1: Cut your boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized chunks. Place in a glass dish and cover with P.F. Chang’s® Kung Pao Sauce until fully coated.
STEP 2: Place a piece of chicken on a skewer followed by a chunk of pineapple. Continue until you have four pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of pineapple on the skewer.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Make sure that you soak your bamboo skewers in water for atleast 10 minutes before you use them.
STEP 3: Spray a grill pan with non-stick spray then place your skewer on a hot grill pan and cook for 5 minutes. Then flip it to the other side and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Once you have placed your skewer on the grill, don’t be attempted to move it or pick it up until it’s done cooking on it’s side. This way you will get those pretty grill marks!
Carefully remove from the grill with tongs and serve!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: I order steamed rice from my local Chinese restaurant to serve alongside my skewers. This plus the ease of using the NEW P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu sauces is a timesaver and isn’t that summers are all about — Simply Summer Cooking & Entertaining!
