Hey, party peeps! Where did the year go? Wow, this year went by fast and was a great year for us so I’ve decided to CELEBRATE this year with a New Year’s Eve Party. I was so excited when Evite asked me to be part of the New Year’s Eve Party on the Fly challenge where me and 5 other party planners were challenged to create a last-minute New Year’s Eve party on the cheap and with a text!
Hosting a party at the last minute is super easy when you follow my GIRLFRIEND TIPS and use Evite to invite your guests with their new text message! As an Evite Influencer, this post is sponsored by Evite. I only endorse brands that I love and guys…Evite is one of them! #BeThere #Text2Party
HOST YOUR OWN NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY ON THE FLY WITH THESE 5 GIRLFRIEND TIPS!
GIRLFRIEND TIP #1: INVITE YOUR GUESTS WITH A TEXT!
When inviting your friends over for a last-minute party, invite them with Evite’s new text message feature. It’s super easy to do. Let me show you!
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE EVITE APP!
Download the EVITE APP on your mobile phone. Sign in or set up an account if you don’t already have one. It’s super easy and quick! CLICK HERE to download the app.
STEP 2: LOG IN & SEARCH FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY INVITES!
Evite has a wide variety of invites to choose from. Remember, the invite is your first chance to make an impression on your guests and should match the theme or look and feel you are going for your party.
STEP 3: PICK YOUR INVITE & FILL OUT THE INFO!
I picked this one as I’m planning on using gold, sparkle and shine in my party decor since I already have gold party supplies. It literally took me 1 minute to fill out the info I wanted on my invite.
STEP 4: INVITE YOUR GUESTS WITH A TEXT!
Now here’s the fun part! You can invite anyone you want with a text by simply accessing your phone’s contacts which took seconds. Once you’ve done that, start adding guests! They will get a text message with your invite and be able to RSVP right away! Now that’s fast and is perfect when you’re throwing a party at the last minute and need to know how many guests to plan for right away.
Check out all the details on EVITE’S NEW TEXT FEATURE HERE.
GIRLFRIEND TIP #2: USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE TO CREATE A BUBBLY BAR!
When hosting a party on a budget, first use what you already have to create a fabulous Bubbly Bar.
Since New Year’s is so close to Christmas, reuse your existing holiday decorations. I have this fabulous gold accent table that I decorated for Christmas with a crystal tree with red ornaments and other Christmas decorations.
I removed the Christmas decorations and reused the fabulous tree centerpiece. Then, I simply transformed it into a Bubbly Bar by filling it with champagne and flutes for guests to toast at midnight.
GIRLFRIEND TIP #3: INVEST IN GLASSWARE & RESUSE THEM EVERY YEAR!
Invest in a set of glass champagne flutes and use them every year! I’m all about the buy once and use multiple times!
GIRLFRIEND TIP #4: SERVE SMALL BITES WITH STORE-BOUGHT ITEMS!
This is a shortcut I use ALL THE TIME! When I host a party on the fly, I usually don’t have time to be cooking away in the kitchen prepping dinner. So, the first thing I do is start the party at 9pm so that my guests don’t expect a full meal! OH YEAH! TIMING IS EVERYTHING! Then, I prepare appetizers only with items I can pick up easily from my grocery store! The presentation of your food is EVERYTHING! These disposable plastic mini bowls, trays and cups are perfect for displaying my store-bought appetizers. Don’t they look like a million bucks?!
GIRLFRIEND TIP #5: USE DISPOSABLE PARTYWARE!
Listen, girlfriends, nobody got time to be cleaning dishes after midnight! OKAY? Do yourself a favor and use disposable plates for your food serveware and plates! At the end of the night just throw everything away!
GIRLFRIEND TIP #6: SERVE A SIGNATURE CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL!
Avoid having to spend lots of money on lots of different alcoholic drinks for your party. Serve a signature party drink instead, like this Cranberry Orange Mimosa! Check out the recipe HERE.
NOW YOU’RE READY TO TOAST TO THE NEW YEAR!
I hope you have gotten some inspiration to throw your own New Year’s Eve party this year! Even if you decide at the last minute to do it, use this tips and Evite to invite your friends with a text and you can host your party stress-free and actually enjoy your friends!
