Sparkle Rainbow Candy Table – My Little Pony party theme

Hey party peeps! I’m so excited to share with you Part 2 of my daughter Riley’s Sparkle Rainbow My Little Pony party! Today I’m featuring the gorgeous Candy Table. This was definitely the show-stopping wow-factor to the party. The kids were so excited and my daughter was over the moon as she looked at all the fabulous goodies! My good friend, Jessica from Neveah’s Baby Couture custom designed this gorgeous rainbow pony carousel couture outfit for her to wear with a matching mini top hat! My Little Pony Party – Sparkle Rainbow Candy Table

Here I designed a Rainbow Candy Table to compliment Riley’s favorite My Little Pony— Rainbow Dash! Building this Rainbow themed My Little Pony Party candy table was easy and hassle-free.  Sweet City Candy (an online candy shop) has a wide variety of rainbow colored candy that was perfect for my table including jelly beans, rock candy and swirl lollipops.  All that was left for me to do was to get creative with displaying the candy!  MY FAVORITE PART! I wanted to create a rainbow of candy across the entire length of the table and jelly beans were perfect to do this. Girlfriend Tip:  One 5lb. bag of each color of jelly beans can easily fill a 12″ tall cylinder glass vase.  To create the jelly bean rainbow display, I simply arranged all 7 of the vases side by side down the back of the table.  There is even enough jelly beans left over to pre- fill each of the favor boxes with a rainbow mix of jelly beans…such a timesaver!

Sparkle Rainbow My Little Pony Cake

Most kids don’t want fondant cakes. YES, they look incredible, but let’s face it, they don’t taste very good and if your kids are like mine, they just want a good ol’ fashioned store bought or homemade cake or in my case…an ice cream cake. My tip to make a plain cake fabulous looking is to embellish the cake with custom items like a show-stopping 3D Rainbow Dash fondant cake topper and individual fondant accent pieces like the letters spelling my daughter’s name—all custom designed and shipped to me by Fancy Cakes. I also topped it off with a custom “SPARKLE” cake banner from The Purple Pug and a printable #6 lolli-tag with rhinestones from my Sparkle Rainbow printable collection (available here). It literally takes 5 minutes to decorate the cake with these custom items and your plain cake is transformed into a cake that not only looks fabulous but tastes yummy!

Girlfriend Tip: I always have a few store-bought cupcakes available in a few flavors for those who don’t like cake. To glam them up, I simply wrap them in glitter cupcake wrappers from Dress My Cupcake and add custom cupcake toppers like my Sparkle Rainbow cupcake toppers or these super cute die-cut rainbow toppers from Creativities Galore! Made By A Princess makes those rainbow bling sparkle sticks that match perfectly with our printable Sparkle Rainbow cupcake toppers!

Sparkle Rainbow Desserts

Check out these fabulous rainbow fondant toppers from Fancy Cakes that I used to top rainbow colored chocolate covered oreos from Autumn Sins Chocolate Sins.  Autumn made one of these in every color of the rainbow and coordinated perfectly with the custom fondant toppers. She also made these sparkly cake pops & candy apples in each color of the rainbow that came delivered wrapped in cellophane and tied with a rainbow ribbon that made them perfect take home sweets. Of course, I always include custom labeled cotton candy from Soiree Event Design Shop at all my parties….guests LOVE it and is pre-packaged in a small bag which makes it an easy take home favor without all the sticky mess. Sugar Cravings custom designed these fabulous Rainbow Dash and rainbow iced cookies that are are as gorgeous as they are yummy!

Girlfriend Tip:  I like to use a mix of pre-packaged and open desserts and candy on my candy tables.  This way your guests will be encouraged to eat the opened desserts first so that the pre-packaged dessert and candy can be easily placed in a favor bag or box for easy transport home with each guest.  I’m sure we have all tried to figure out how to send home open candy apples and cake pops…not exactly ideal when mixed in a favor bag with loose candy and lollipops!

My Little Pony Party – Sparkle Rainbow Candy Table Decor

The inspiration for this My Little Pony party table design was that stunning rainbow sequin table linen! I looked everywhere for a rainbow sequin linen and found NOTHING so I contacted Candy Crush Events to custom design one and boy did she deliver! It truly is breathtaking and the perfect contrast against the custom sky vinyl backdrop that I had made by Bubblegum Backdrops. In order to bring in some sparkle to the backdrop I simply layered two rainbow crystal bead curtains from Koyal Wholesale on top of the backdrop and centered it with a huge glittered wood cutout of Riley’s name custom made by Ten23 Designs.  Little hints of bling were also added to the table with my rhinestone studded printable Sparkle Rainbow lolli-tags and these custom rainbow bling frames, candy scoops and tongs from Talia’s Creative Printing and those rainbow bling sparkle sticks from Made By A Princess!

Girlfriend Tip:  Adding in My Little Pony party decorations was simple AND a huge surprise for the birthday girl as the large plush My Little Pony toys I used in the table design were also presents for her! I use this tip ALOT! Use toys to bring in a character and get double duty from them by also giving them to the birthday girl….trust me..you will look like a total rock star to your child!
