Hey party peeps! Today’s post is dedicated to my sister, Kelly and her favorite thing— Coca-Cola! She won’t drink any other soda and I make sure to have plenty on hand whenever she comes over for family dinners. The hot new trend in party planning right now are Favorite Things Parties and I have yet to host one! Well, when given the chance to work with Coke, I knew right away I would Celebrate the Holidays with my sister and host a Favorite Things Party + Coca-Cola. One of my favorite holiday memories is watching the Coca-Cola commercials with the polar bears. You guys know the ones, right? Oh my goodness, they are the cutest and really capture the joy and wonder of the holiday season. As a mom, the ones featuring the mama polar bear and her cub always were especially meaningful to me. So when coming up with the party design, I decided to mix both my sister’s favorite thing—Coke and my favorite holiday memory—Coke polar bear commercials to create a Coca-Cola Winter Wonderland dinner party.
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
When designing a Winter Wonderland theme, the obvious color to use is white. To add a pop of color I decided to use red to compliment the colors of Coke. The rest was easy, pull lots of white glittery ornaments, red flower trees, polar bear toys and red and white paper party supplies.
SERVE YOUR FAVORITE DINNER AT A WINTER WONDERLAND DINING TABLE!
How fabulous is this dining table with a white and red color palette. Creating this table for your party is simple. Start by covering the table with a plush white blanket. This gives the table the look of soft snow. For the placesettings, top metallic silver chargers with a bold red and white swirly striped paper plates. Create an amazing wow factor for the centerpiece by repurposing a cupcake stand into a snowball holder by placing white glittered ornaments on the stand instead of cupcakes. Then I placed the entire stand in the middle of a white glittery wreath that I laid flat on the table and topped with a few white, red and silver metallic pinecone ornaments. The look is AMAZING! I also placed these red flower trees on the table for a sophisticated look.
MAKE YOUR OWN COCA-COLA TABLE DECOR!
I created 2 smaller centerpieces featuring the retro Coke de Mexico glass bottle.
Here’s how to do it:
– Pour out the Coke from the bottle.
– While the inside of the bottle is still wet, pour sugar into the bottle.
– Cover the opening of the bottle with your palm and shake the bottle to spread the sugar to cover the entire inside of the bottle.
– Continue to pour more sugar into the bottle until half full
– Place a fondant snowflake lollipop into the bottle (you can use any snowflake decoration for this part. These fondant ones I used you can get from Edible Details…see vendor credits below)
– Sit the finished bottle in the middle of a round clear dish and place white sparkly styrofoam balls around it
That’s it! Super easy and looks great! Just a small touch of Coca-Cola decor to the table makes a powerful design statement.
CHERRY COCA-COLA FLOATS DRINK STATION!
I love ice cream floats and it’s the perfect way to feature my sister’s favorite drink. Serving ice cream floats is also the perfect drink to serve at a Winter Wonderland themed party, right? For a holiday twist, add cherry to the floats to create Cherry Coke Floats.
Here’s How To Make Them:
– Pour some cherry syrup into a tall glass
– Add two scoops of vanilla ice cream
– Slowly pour Coca-Cola into the glass to fill
– Top with a marachino cherry
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Be sure to pickup the 4 pack of 2-liter Coca-Cola so you’ll have plenty on hand for your Coca-Cola Float Drink Station! They are on sale during the holiday season for $3.98 at Sam’s Club.
SEND YOUR GUESTS HOME WITH YOUR FAVORITE THING—COCA-COLA!
The 24-pack of Coke de Mexico Coca-Cola glass bottles available at Sam’s Club is perfect for creating Coke party favors! There’s enough in a 24-pack to create lots of party favors like I did here. You can place 2 bottles in a tall wine bag or create single bottle favors by placing one bottle inside a holiday drawstring bag or place several bottles inside a gift box. Be sure to dress up the bottles with a holiday charm like I did here with the glittery snowflake. It adds a festive charm to your holiday party favor.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: The Coke de Mexico bottles require a bottle opener to open, so as an added touch, place a bottle opener inside monogrammed mini stockings for each guest to take home with their Coke favors.
What gift ideas do you have to give Coca-Cola as a gift this holiday season?
Be sure to stop by Sam’s Club this holiday season for lots of holiday gift giving ideas including the Coke products seen in this post.
Happy Holidays!
