Hey party peeps! It’s fall and you know what that means…the beginning of the holiday party season! From Halloween to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve, if you’re like me, you are hosting parties the entire season. I start planning in August to get my themes and ideas together so I won’t be stressed out too bad when the holiday season gets into full swing. If you are hosting a dinner party this season or hosting your family and friends for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, this COFFEE & CUPCAKES DESSERT BAR featuring the new Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods is an easy and fabulous wow factor for your party and a great ending to any holiday dinner party, wedding or bridal/baby shower. Your guests will love it!
Me and a few of my girlfriends get together at least once a month for a night of fun and connecting. A time to just talk, connect and have some girl-time with no kids yelling “MOMMY” every two seconds…y’all know what I mean! This month, I invited them over for a “Coffee & Cupcakes” party to bake cookies and try out the new Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods. The Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods come in 3 yummy Starbucks® signature flavors (Caramel, Vanilla and Mocha) and 2 popular Starbucks® seasonal flavors (Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha, available for a limited time). They are made from milk with no artificial flavors. Pumpkin flavored lattes are my favorite part of fall and am so excited I can make these at home now! You can pick up the new Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods in your grocery store in the coffee aisle by the K-Cups® section.
ENJOY YOUR FAVORITE FLAVORS AT HOME!
Making these new Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods is an easy two-step process:
Step 1: Pour the flavor packet into your mug.
Step 2: Brew the Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pod in your Keurig machine using the 8 ounce setting and stir.
I like to top mine with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel on the Caramel Caffé Latte and chocolate on the Mocha Caffé Latte and eat them with a yummy cupcake. OH YEAH!
SET UP A COFFEE AND CUPCAKES DESSERT BAR!
Setting up your coffee and cupcakes dessert bar is easy! Find a central location in your house. I decided to set up my dessert bar on my photo wall display table. I simply removed all the photos and decorations to give me a blank slate. I used this table as it’s centrally located and has two wall shelfs above it that I can use to display decor pieces to add to the ambiance of the coffee & dessert bar. I also came across this amazing chalkboard sign in one of my favorite stores that reminded me of a cafe. Place it by your table and it looks like you walked into a local coffee shop/bakery! How cool is that!
STEP 1: Create a coffee station as the table’s centerpiece by placing a 3-tier folding shelf on top of the table. Put your Keurig® machine on the bottom shelf and the coffee on the second self— within easy reach of your guests. Use the top self to display decor.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: To save space on your table, use free-standing shelves to provide height and allow you to display more on your table without taking up additional table space. I also used these shelf risers that adjust to multiple widths that allowed me to elevate the cupcake stands so I could use the same table space to display decor pieces, plates and mugs underneath the cupcakes.
STEP 2: Serve cupcakes that compliment the flavors of the coffee. Here I served Caramel, Vanilla, Chocolate (mocha) and Pumpkin Spice cupcakes. I placed these gold monogrammed letters by each so guests knew which cupcakes were which.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Take a shortcut and serve store-bought cupcakes. Jazz them up by placing them in glittered cupcake wrappers and serve them on cake stands. They look amazing and you saved yourself hours of time instead of baking them all yourself. During the busy holiday season, timesaver shortcuts are priceless!
STEP 3: Add color-coordinated or themed decor pieces & cafe details. I went with a modern color palette of dark brown, bright white and a pop of sparkly gold! These white and gold pumpkins were perfect to add a modern feeling of fall. I also used gold spoons in each glass mug. How fabulous are those!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: When setting up a coffee and dessert bar, use bright white dishes for a modern look. Use coffee mugs that you already have to display as decorations. Here I used 2 sets of white mugs on each wall shelf to bring that feeling of a cafe to the table.
BAKE YUMMY COOKIES!
Each girls night in we do a fun activity. Sometimes we do a fun craft, watch a good movie or play a game. This time, we’re baking cookies to take home and enjoy at the party. Don’t forget the details! Found this fabulous gold measuring cups and measuring spoons that I just HAD TO HAVE! They matched the party so well!
RISE & SHINE FAVOR BASKETS!
Send your guests home with these “Rise & Shine” favor baskets full of their favorite Starbucks® Caffé Latte K-Cup® pods, complimentary baked goods and a mug. The perfect start to their morning the next day. My guests LOVED these!
I hope this has inspired you to invite your friends over for a Coffee and Cupcakes Party or set up this Coffee & Dessert Bar to any holiday party, wedding, bridal or baby shower you may be hosting.
Cheers!

Goodness, it’s as if Starbucks doesn’t want us to hang out at their place anymore! Kidding aside, these just sweet and luscious.
Madison P. says
I think it looks lovely, and it’s Starbucks to boot! I would love to see a little something like a sign or picture in the back, in a soft pink/brown color, with the Starbucks logo displayed, with something simple like or “Girl’s coffee night”. I think that would tie everything together beautifully.
