Hey party peeps! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Today I’m taking you inside my home to show you some of my BLACK AND GOLD HALLOWEEN DECORATING IDEAS that I used to turn my house into a vintage, yet glam Halloween haven! Be sure to pin these ideas for next year and check out my Black and Gold Halloween Porch and Black and Gold Halloween Candy Table also for more Halloween Decorating Ideas.
BLACK AND GOLD HALLOWEEN DECORATING IDEAS – MY ENTRY!
Are you looking for Halloween entry decorating ideas? Create a wow-factor as soon as you enter your home! In our home, we have a small entry which I love to decorate with a BIG PUNCH to match each holiday.
We are expecting LOTS of trick-or-treaters tonight and know when they come to the door they will see the entry and get a spook! I mean…skeletons walking upright carrying a coffin! OH YEAH…NOW THAT’S SPOOKY COOL!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: If you have a hanging light fixture in your entryway, this plush spider from Oriental Trading is perfect to hang from it! It’s lightweight and the legs bend so you can simply hang it over your existing hanging light fixture.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: These tombstones are one of my favorite Halloween decorations! They look like concrete but are actually made of foam and are super lightweight. Stand them around and you have a spooky look that store easily for next year!
CHECK OUT MY SPOOKY HALLOWEEN LIVING ROOM!
When guests enter my home there is a sitting room which I transformed into a spooky haven with creepy cloth, vintage Halloween pillows, glitter spiders and skeletons!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: This full size jack-o-lantern skeleton is my new favorite Halloween decoration this year! It is fully posable, so I was able to put him this cool position on the couch with his legs crossed! How cool is that? If you want fully posable skeletons, make sure that before you buy it, you check the description to make sure it says fully posable or if you see it in the store, look at where the bones meet on the skeleton and twist it gently to see if it only bends one way or swivels like this one does. The swivel is what you’re looking for!
It’s easy to add a touch of spookiness to your living room simply by placing Halloween pillows on your furniture. These pillows are from Oriental Trading and were perfect AND affordable! Gotta love that!
Okay, so my son LOVES dinosaurs, so this T-REX dinosaur skull made me a rock star mom when he walked in from school yesterday and saw it sitting on our coffee table! The best thing…it roars when you get close to it as it has a motion sensor in it! I’ll be placing this outside on our porch tonight to give our trick-or-treaters a fright! CAN NOT WAIT!
BLACK AND GOLD HALLOWEEN DECORATING IDEAS – DINING ROOM!
Each year, my dining table gets a spooky makeover. This year I wanted to give it a vintage glam theme. What do you think?
I fell in love with the new Vintage Halloween collection from Oriental Trading. During the Halloween season, I try to find fabulous looking Halloween disposable partyware to use on my dining tablescape so that it doesn’t cost me a small fortune each year to decorate my table.
I love to sit these full-size gold skeletons at the dining table. How cool do they look? They add a sparkly glam factor that is just too fabulous!
This year I placed two gold skeletons at the table in hilarious positions which my kids just thought was too funny! Notice this skeletons feet up by his head!
Add gold touches to the tablescape to ramp up the glam like these gold plastic spiders, gold skulls and gold coasters and flatware!
Mix and match black and gold Halloween decorations to your table to create the main centerpiece. This tall vintage black candelabra is flanked by black and gold pumpkin pedestals that I made myself!
GIRLFRIEND TIP: These black and gold pumpkin pedestals I made myself by attaching a few spiders that I spraypainted gold to a black plastic pumpkin. Then simply place the pumpkin on top of a black pedestal candle holder! EASY!
How cool is this gold skeleton sitting on top of my wood cabinet and peering over the entire room!
BLACK AND GOLD HALLOWEEN DECORATING IDEAS – BAR CART AND SIDE TABLE!
Decorate all parts of your room! I have a bar cart and side table that sit next to my dining table and use it to decorate for every holiday.
Oriental Trading’s new Vintage Halloween collection comes with this super versatile skull and raven foam centerpiece set comes with a base so that you can literally prop them up anywhere to add a decorative touch. Finish the table with extra plates and napkins which, let’s face it, we always need more of during the holidays.
I propped up a full-size skeleton behind the bar cart and put a glitzy cauldron on the top. Place a spider on the lid like it’s crawling out to look like Mr. Bones here is serving up a helping of bug juice! EWWWW! LOVE IT!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Did you decorate your house this Halloween? What style or theme did you do? Be sure to head over to Oriental Trading to purchase almost all the supplies and decorations I used here so you can recreate this yourself next Halloween. This post is sponsored by Oriental Trading. All opinions are my own.
GIRLFRIEND TIP: Tomorrow is the time to stock up on Halloween supplies and decor for next year with all the after-Halloween clearance sales! I will be out tomorrow shopping for next year’s theme which I can’t wait to share with you! YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT!
